Safe in Harbour

Looking like their own herd, I watch their dance, advancing into the deep blue sea for another day of catch and release, their small bows a kingdom unto themselves for all the day long.

I smile from my perch as I survey the tiny fishing boats that dot the harbour of my small town. Their bright red booys are a mere speck from this distance. With an elegance best appreciated from my perch, I watch their dance, advancing into the deep blue sea for another day of catch and release, their small bows a kingdom unto themselves for all the day long. At days end, they will turn back towards the shore, tiny fleet come home again. Safe in harbour for another evening once again.
